UniProtKB description:  Involved in the degradation of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (2,4,6-TCP) (PubMed:12057943, PubMed:14660355, PubMed:14662756, PubMed:17322325). Catalyzes the conversion of 2,4,6-TCP to 6-chlorohydroxyquinol (6-CHQ) (PubMed:12057943, PubMed:14662756). The monooxygenase oxidizes 2,4,6-TCP to 2,6-dichloroquinone (2,6-DCBQ), which remains with the enzyme and is hydrolyzed to 2-chlorohydroxyquinone (PubMed:14662756). 2-chlorohydroxyquinone is chemically reduced by ascorbate and NADH to 6-chlorohydroxyquinol (6-CHQ) (PubMed:14662756).
