UniProtKB description:  Sterol glycosyltransferase responsible for the glycosylation of ergosterol to form ergosterol-glucoside (PubMed:10224056, PubMed:30395931). Shows also activity in vitro on other sterols such as cholesterol, beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol and tomatidine (PubMed:10224056). In contrasts to what is observed in Pichia pastoris and Aspergillus oryzae, is not involved in cytoplasm to vacuole transport (Cvt), pexophagy or nonselective autophagy in Saccharomyces cerevisiae (PubMed:17012830).
