UniProtKB description:  Component of the type III secretion system (T3SS), also called injectisome, which is used to inject bacterial effector proteins into eukaryotic host cells (PubMed:22910185, PubMed:23297383). YopB/SctE and YopD/SctB are inserted into the host membrane where they form a pore and allow the translocation of effector proteins into the cytosol of target cells (PubMed:8596454, PubMed:23297383, PubMed:25684661). Essential for YopE, YopH and YopM translocation (PubMed:8596454, PubMed:22910185, PubMed:25684661).
