Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. This domain is found at the N-terminal end of human Protocadherin Fat 4 (FAT4) and similar animal proteins. FAT4 plays a role in the maintenance of planar cell polarity as well as in inhibition of YAP1-mediated neuroprogenitor cell proliferation and differentiation. This domain shows an immunoglobulin-like fold.
