This is the C-terminal thioredoxin domain found in human Protein disulfide-isomerase A6 (PDIA6) and similar eukaryotic proteins. PDIA6 may function as a chaperone that inhibits aggregation of misfolded proteins. It also plays a role in platelet aggregation and activation by agonists such as convulxin, collagen and thrombin [1,2].
