UniProtKB description:  Antibacterial peptide with amphipathic alpha-helical structure that has activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (Ref.3, PubMed:34569121). Also shows antimicrobial activity against the fungus C.albicans, but not against A.flavus nor P.uticale (Ref.3). It has little hemolytic activity (Ref.3). It possess a significant cytotoxicity against tumor cell lines, but does not possess a significant anti-HIV activity (Ref.3). Also shows high spermicidal activity (Ref.3).
