February 12-16, 2000 -- A presentation, award, and an exhibition booth were the focus of the PDB's attendance at the 44th Annual Biophysical Society Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, February 12-16. Dr. Helen M. Berman, director of the PDB, presented a talk entitled "The Past, Present, and Future of the Protein Data Bank" at the Awards Symposium after receiving the Biophysical Society's Distinguished Service Award for her work with structural databases.
PDB members were able to meet with users one-on-one in the PDB's exhibition booth. Thanks to everyone who stopped by with their questions, input, and support. The next PDB exhibit booth will be at the American Crystallographic Association's Annual Meeting in St. Paul, Minnesota, in July.
