Superimposing the cpSAP97 PDZ2 (molecule A) onto the pwtSAP97 PDZ2 (pdb 2X7Z) shows that the structures are very similar ( Figure 1D ), except for the different N and C-termini, the break in the �... b2;1-β2 loop and the new loop connecting β6 to β1.

Initial phases were obtained by molecular replacement with the program Phaser [46] using the pwtSAP97 PDZ2 structure, pdb 2X7Z [21] as a search model.
