The crystal structure of T 4 bound to TTR (PDB no. 2ROX) indicates a binding orientation in which the alanyl moiety of T 4 facilitates hydrogen bonding interactions with Lys15 and Glu54, and the pheno... is oriented towards Ser117 and Thr119 ( Wojtczak et al. 1996 ).

We initially selected three TTR crystal structure complexes with different bound ligands (PDB no. 2ROX, 2G9K, and 2F7I) from the PDB to constitute the receptor model for TTR.
