Application of this same resolution-dependent spot-fading rate to lysozyme data (PDB ID: 2blx) reproduces the 1.03 B MGy −1 that Kmetko et al. (2006 ▶ ) reported for ly... ozyme, and thus explains the apparent protein-to-protein variability they observed.
