Citations in PubMed
This linkout lists citations, indexed by PubMed, to the Primary Citation for this PDB ID.
Data mentions are occurrences of PDB IDs in the full text articles from the
PubMedCentral Open Access Subset
of currently about 1 million articles. For each article, the sentences containing the PDB ID are listed.
Article titles can be filtered by keywords and sorted by year.
Tracing conformational changes in proteins.
(2010) BMC Struct Biol 10 Suppl 1

(b) The GroEL-GroES-ADP7 complex (PDB structure 1sx4).
We modeled the epical domain movement from the GroEL monomer (modeled from chain A of PDB code 1SS8) to the GroEL-GroES-ADP7 monomer (modeled from chain A of PDB code 1SX4).
Figure 1 shows an illustration of the closed structure of the GroEL 7-membered single ring complex taken from PDB code 1SS8 (Figure 1(a) ) and the opened structure (GroEL-GroES-ADP7) taken from PDB code 1SX4 (Figure 1(b) ).

Conformational sampling and nucleotide-dependent transitions of the GroEL subunit probed by unbiased molecular dynamics simulations.
(2011) PLoS Comput Biol 7
PubMed: 21423709 | PubMedCentral: PMC3053311 | DOI: 10.1371/journal.pcbi.1002004
Contact matrices were calculated for 28 closed (T) apo subunits (PDB code: 1XCK, 1SS8, 1OEL), 28 closed (T) ATP bound subunits (PDB code: 1KP8, 1SX3) and 28 open (R″) ADP bound subunits (PDB c... des: 1AON, 1SVT, 1SX4, and 1PF9), and 6000 snapshots obtained from the last 50 ns of the 12 independent MD simulations on the closed GroEL subunit (6 apo and 6 holo).

Accession Numbers PDB IDs: 1su4, 1iwo and 1sx4.
Using the complete GroEL/ES structure (8015 amino acids, PDB ID: 1sx4), the low-frequency modes are now dominated by the collective motions of the complete complex.
Conformational transition We computed the feasible conformational transition pathway from open (chain A) to closed (chain H) GroEL monomer structures of the 1sx4 PDB entry.
