A clear misfit is observed between the experimental scattering obtained in batch mode and the scattering calculated using CRYSOL (Svergun et al. , 1995 ▶ ) from the crystallographic monomer of... the protein [Protein Data Bank (PDB) code 1ova (Stein et al. , 1991 ▶ )], yielding a discrepancy χ 2 = 5.6.
