From the crystal-lographic structures (2WII, 2WIN, 1OJV), it is possible to construct a hypothetical model for the CD55:vWF-A structure whereby the Bb would simply dissociate from the C3b and attach t... the neighbouring CD55 ( Figure 3(A), (B) and (C) ) [ 24 , 33 , 34 ].
The protein structures used for the rigid-body docking were based on 1OJV.
