In two instances, the two isoforms turned out to possess the same fold, and one case (protochlorophyllide reductase, EC 188.8.131.52) had to be eliminated because the light-dependent and light-independent... forms of this enzyme (PDB entries 3MIN and 1HDU , respectively) employ different electron donors and so, technically, catalyze different reactions.
