EcoRV before cutting
PDB ID: 1RVARestriction enzymes cut DNA at specific nucleotide sequences, and are widely used in biotechnology. This structure shows a restriction enzyme from Escherichia coli with a small piece of DNA bound in the active site, before the cutting reaction has been performed. PDB entry 1rvc shows the complex after the reaction.
